19-3308.   Same; powers as to roads, bridges and culverts; bonds;limitation.That in any county engaging in flood control works under the provisionsof article 33 of chapter 19 of the Kansas Statutes Annotated, the boardof county commissioners may, by order of such board, lay out, relocate,alter, widen, vacate or construct such roads or highways, and build,alter, remove or replace such bridges or culverts, as the board ofcounty commissioners may deem necessary or advisable in connection withsuch flood control works. All land required for the purposes hereinstated shall be acquired by the board of county commissioners in themanner provided in K.S.A. 68-114:Provided, That general obligation bonds of the county may be issuedas provided in article 33 of chapter 19 of the Kansas Statutes Annotated,and the proceeds thereof used to pay for such land and the costs,expenses and other charges occasioned by operations authorized in thisact; but in no event shall the aggregate of bonds issued by any suchcounty under the provisions of article 33 of chapter 19 of the KansasStatutes Annotated, exceed, for all purposes, the amount therein providedof one percent of the assessed valuation of the county.
