Chapter 19.--COUNTIES AND COUNTY OFFICERS
Article 36.--FIRE PROTECTION

      19-3608.   Same; agreements with cities or townships for fire protectionservice; terms; resolution or ordinance.The board of county commissioners, as the governing body of any firedistrict organized by virtue of this act, may enter into agreements (andmay modify or alter the same) with any township or townships, city orcities in the county or with adjacent townships or cities in adjacenttownships in adjoining counties having an organized fire department underthe control of the governing body thereof, for fire protection services andfor the use, operation, care and maintenance of any fire apparatus orequipment belonging to such district. Said agreement shall be made byresolution in the case of said board and by ordinance in the case of anycity. All such contracts shall fix the terms and conditions (including aconsideration) under which any city binds itself to furnish fire protectionservices to the fire district, and/or by which any city shall use, operate,house and maintain any fire apparatus, equipment and supplies purchased forthe purpose of this act by said board and the terms under which any suchcity may furnish fire protection services to the district by the use ofcity firemen, fire apparatus and equipment, or by both use of city- anddistrict-owned apparatus and equipment.

      The rights and duties vested in municipal firemen by the provisions ofsections 80-1504, 80-1505 and 80-1506 of the General Statutes of 1949 andany amendments thereto, shall govern in all cases when applicable to thisact: Provided, That the supervision and control of any fire departmentfurnishing services by reason of this act shall always be with thegoverning body of a city.
