19-621. Same; bond.Within 10 days after receiving a certificate of theorderof appointment to the office specified inK.S.A. 19-620, and amendments thereto, it shallbe the duty of such appointee to file with the districtclerk of such appointee's county a bond, with a sufficient surety,in the sum of$20,000, to the proper county,conditionedthat such appointee will faithfully perform the dutiesof the office of county auditor,which bond and sureties thereon shall be approved by the district courtof the proper county, which approval shall be made part of the recordsof such court. A bond conditioned as hereinbefore recited,and executedby a bonding company authorized to do business under the laws of thisstate, shall upon approval of the district judge be construed to be andconstitute sufficient surety, and the premium on such bondshall be paidby the county.
