19-625. Reports of county officers.The county treasurer, county clerk, sheriff, register of deeds and every otherofficer collecting any money for the county shallprepare and file with the county auditor monthly, a sworn statement ofall fees, fines and other moneys collected by such officer belonging tosuch county. The auditor shallexamine thebooks of all such officers and shall compare such sworn statements with thebooks in the possession of the auditor and with the auditor's ledgeraccount and report the examination to the board of county commissioners.
