2-1110.   Live poultry; identification of seller; purchase memorandum. Every track buyer of live poultry, every truck buyer of live poultry,every trader in live poultry, and every local buyer of or dealer in livepoultry is hereby required to know or establish the identity of the sellerof all live poultry purchased by him or her and to preserve for a period ofnot less than one year a purchase memorandum manifesting the name andaddress of the seller, the number and kinds or colors of poultry purchased,and the date of said purchase, which memoranda shall be produced andexhibited on the demand of any peace officer to whom a theft of poultry hasbeen reported.
