2-1316a. Weed supervisors; bond.Each county, city and district weed supervisor before entering upon theduties of office, shall execute and file with the county clerk or cityclerk, as the case may be, a surety bond, executed by the supervisor asprincipal and by a corporate surety company, as surety, in the sum of twothousand dollars ($2,000), to be approved by the said clerk, andconditioned on the supervisor faithfully performing all the duties ofoffice, and such supervisor shall promptly pay over to the county treasureror city treasurer, as the case may be, in behalf of such county or city,all moneys that may come into his or her hands as such weed supervisor, andshall deliver to his or her successor in office all books, records, papersand other property and things belonging to the county or city, as the casemay be, or to the said office. The premium for said surety bond shall bepaid out of the noxious weed fund by said county or city.
