2-2125.   Penalties for violations.(a) Any person violating any of the provisions of this act shall bedeemedguilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine ofnot less than $25 nor more than $500.

      (b)   The secretary may assess a civil penalty against any person whoviolates or fails to comply with the requirements of this act of not less than$100 nor more than $1,000 per offense. In the case of a continuing offense,eachday the violation continues may be deemed a separate violation. Such civilpenalty may be assessed in addition to any other penalty provided by law. Suchassessment shall be made in accordance with the Kansas administrativeprocedure act.
