2-2214.   Jurisdiction over distribution, sale andtransportation; emergency situations.(a) Jurisdiction in all matters pertaining to the distribution, sale andtransportation of agricultural chemicals is by this act vested exclusively inthe secretary, and an authorized representative of the secretary, except asotherwise specifically provided in this act.

      (b)   The secretary shall have the authority to apply for a permit forpesticide use in emergency situations as provided for under the provisions ofsection 18 of FIFRA and to apply for special local need registrations under theprovisions of subsection (c) of section 24 of FIFRA.
