Article 24.--PEST CONTROL

      2-2442.   Same; temporary permit; examination.(a) Any person required to obtain a commercial applicator'scertification may apply for a temporary permit. The temporary permitmay be used in lieu of the regular certification, described in K.S.A.1976 Supp. 2-2441, until the person is scheduled for regularexamination. In no event will the period of time for use of a temporarypermit exceed sixty (60) days and a second temporary permit for the samecategory cannot be issued to the same person during the calendar yearwithin which such temporary permit was issued.

      (b)   Temporary permits may be issued to persons who have:

      (1)   Completed application on a form prescribed by the secretary;

      (2)   paid the fees prescribed in K.S.A. 1976 Supp. 2-2441; and

      (3)   passed an emergency examination provided to each countyextension office by the secretary.

      (c)   The county extension agent shall make available emergencyexaminations and give and grade such examinations. The county clerkwill be responsible for issuing the temporary permits, collecting thefees and forwarding the fees with necessary informational records to thesecretary.
