Article 1a.--JUDICIAL DEPARTMENT MONEYS

     
20-1a13.   Courts accept credit cards to collect fees.
The judicial administrator of the courts shall contract with
credit card companies to provide for collection of bank card drafts from valid
and unexpired credit cards used to pay for any docket fee, filing fee, fax
service charge, and any other fee or charge. Any discount from the face value
of a bank card draft shall not exceed 3%. All contracts entered into under this
section shall be exempt from the provisions of K.S.A. 75-3739 to 75-3744,
inclusive, and amendments thereto. Any fax service charge shall
include an amount to cover the cost of accepting a bank card draft.
