20-123.   Same; record of election and appointment to commission;notification; meetings; rules and regulations.When the chairperson and other members of the commissionchosen by themembers of the bar have been elected, and after the names of the nonlawyermembers appointed by the governor have been certified to the clerk of thesupreme court as provided in this act, theclerk shall make a recordthereof in the clerk's office and shall notify the members ofthe commission oftheir election and appointment. The commission shall meet from time to timeas may be necessary to discharge the responsibilities of thecommission. Such meetings shall be held at suchplace as the clerk of the supreme court may arrange. Suchmeeting shall be held upon the call ofthe chairperson, or in the event of thechairperson's failureto call a meeting when ameeting is necessary, upon the call of any fourmembers of thecommission. The commission shall act only at a meeting, and may act only bythe concurrence of a majority of its members. The commission shall havepower to adopt such reasonable and proper rules and regulations for theconduct of its proceedings and the discharge of its duties as areconsistent with this act and the constitution of the state of Kansas.
