20-124.   Same; appointment of nonlawyer members;vacancies.As terms of office of nonlawyer members from eachcongressional district are about toexpire, their successors shall be appointed by the governor and the namesof such appointees certified by the governor to the clerk of thesupreme court before theirterms of office begin. Any vacancy occurring among the nonlawyer membersof the commission shall be filled by appointment by the governor within10 days after the governor has notice of suchvacancy, for the unexpired term ofthe member whose place is being filled, and the name of such appointeeshall be certified to the clerk. All appointments by the governor shall bewithout regard to the political affiliations of the appointees.
