      20-129.   Same; congressional redistricting; effect;staggered terms.In the event of redistricting which changes the number of congressionaldistricts in the state, the members of the commission as constituted at thetime of redistricting shall continue to be members of the commission untilthe first day of July following the expiration of four months aftersuch redistricting becomes effective. Except for thechairperson on such date, the terms of allmembers of the commission shall expire. Duringthefour months immediately preceding such termination of office, newcommissioners shall be elected and appointed from the newly constitutedcongressional districts in the same manner which is provided in this actfor election and appointment of commissioners. The terms ofelected and appointed members first chosen from such newly constituteddistricts shall be staggered on the basis of the number of such districtsand their successors shall be elected and appointed in such manner and forsuch terms as provided in this act.
