Article 1.--SUPREME COURT

      20-155.   Supreme court law library; law librarian and other personnel.There is hereby established the Kansas supreme court law library, whichshall provide law library services to the judicial, legislative andexecutive branches of state government and to members of the barunder such rules as the supreme court may prescribe. The Kansas supremecourt law library shall be under the supervision and control of theKansas supreme court. For the purpose of operating and managing suchlibrary a state law librarian shall be appointed by and serve at thepleasure of the supreme court. Within the limits of appropriations madetherefor, the state law librarian shall, with the approval of thesupreme court, appoint such assistants and other personnel asrequired for the operation and management of the law library, in accordancewith the personnel plan of the supreme court. The statelaw librarian and the librarian's assistants and other library personnelshall receive compensation in accordance with the pay plan of the supremecourt. Before entering upon theduties of the office, the state law librarian shalltake the oath of office prescribed by law for public officers.
