20-333.   Abolishment of office of judge upon death, resignation orretirement in certain cases.Whenever under the provisions of this act [*] provision is made for theabolishment of the office of district judge in any judicial district, andthe district judge holding any such office shall die, resign or retireduring the four (4) years next preceding the date fixed for the abolishmentof such office, such office shall be and is hereby abolished at the time ofsuch death, resignation or retirement.
