Article 3.--DISTRICT COURTS

      20-343.   Clerks of district courts; chief clerk;qualifications and dutiesof clerical personnel.The chief judge of each judicial district,shall appoint a clerk of the district court in each countywithin such judicial district. The chief judge shall designate one ofsuch clerks as the chiefclerk of the district court of such judicial district, except that a chiefclerk is not required to be designated in a judicial district which isauthorizedto have a court administrator pursuant to the personnel plan of the supremecourt. The clerks of the district court and deputies, assistants andother clerical personnel shall have such qualifications as areprescribed for the offices by statute, rule of the district court andrule of the supreme court. Such clerks, deputies, assistants and otherpersonnel shall have such powers, duties and functions as are prescribedby law, prescribed by rules of the supreme court or assigned by thechief judge.
