3-129.   Same; duties of governing body; eminent domain.It shall be the duty of the governing body of such city when requestedby the board of public utilities to enact such ordinances or resolutions asmay be necessary for the protection of the municipal airport and municipalfields for aviation purposes and to institute condemnation proceedingswhenever in the judgment of the board of public utilities, private propertyshould be taken in the name of the city for municipal airport purposes andto execute such leases as may be negotiated by the board of publicutilities for the use and occupancy of the municipal airport facilities.
