3-139.   Sale of airport near army or navy air base in second-classcities.In any city of the second class in the state of Kansas, near which thereis established an army or navy air base, where said city has acquired bypurchase, without the city limits, a municipal airport or a municipal fieldfor aviation purposes, and which is so near said army or navy air base asto make the use of said municipal airport or municipal field for aviationpurposes useless as an airport or field for aviation purposes, thegoverning body of said city may, by resolution, order the sale of saidmunicipal airport and field for aviation purposes, and sell the same, ashereinafter provided.
