3-144b.   Same; discontinuance of airport authorized, when; sale ofland; resolution.Whenever any such city has acquired fee simple title to real estate foruse as an airport or flying field and, whenever in the opinion of thegoverning body of such city such airport or field is no longer needed, itmay, upon completion of any outstanding leases on same, discontinue suchairport and sell such real estate or any portion, parcel or tract thereof.Before transferring and conveying any of said real estate, such governingbody shall by resolution find and determine that such real estate is nolonger needed for airport purposes and that it is to the best interests ofthe city that same be sold.
