3-168.   Airport authority in certain counties; appointment of law enforcementofficers.The board of directors of any airport authority located in a county havinga population of more than one hundred thousand (100,000) and less than twohundred thousand (200,000) is authorized to appoint with the consent ofthe governing body appointing the airport authority such law enforcementofficers as the board shall deem necessary for proper law enforcement, airportsecurity and police protection within the jurisdictional boundaries of propertyowned, managed or controlled by the airport authority.
