3-170.   Same; qualifications of law enforcement officers.All officers regularly appointed by the board shall be qualified under theprovisions of article 56 of chapter 74 of the Kansas Statutes Annotated,and amendments thereto, but any officer may receive a temporary appointmentpending completion of the requirements for a certificate attesting to thesatisfactory completion of the required number of hours of accredited instructionat the law enforcement training center.
