Article 5.--DISPUTE RESOLUTION

      5-510.   Supreme court adopts standards; ethics requirements; compensationfor services.(a) After reviewing therecommendations of the advisory council on dispute resolution, the supremecourt shall adopt rules which establish standards for training andqualifications for neutral persons andwhich prescribe proceduresfor registration and approval by the director of trainingof neutral persons in accordance with suchstandards. All approved programs and individuals shall satisfy thestandards for training and qualificationsestablished by rules of the supreme court.

      (b)   Registered and approved programs andindividuals shall comply with the ethics requirementsand standards and the annual continuing educationrequirements which are prescribed by the director in accordance with thedisputeresolution act or by rules of the supreme court adopted pursuant to the disputeresolution act.

      (c)   Services provided by approved programs or individuals may becompensated or provided on a volunteer basis.
