8-2,143. Commercial driver's license; surrender of license issued by
another state; hazardous materials endorsement.
When any person applies for a commercial driver's license, and
has a commercial driver's license issued by another state, the person shall
surrender the license issued by the prior state of domicile and complete the
application form required by subsection (b) of K.S.A. 8-2,134, and
amendments thereto, including all required information and certifications. If
the applicant previously held and desires to retain a hazardous materials
endorsement, and it has been more than two years since the applicant passed the
written test for the endorsement, the applicant shall be required to take and
pass the written test administered by this state for the hazardous materials
endorsement.
