Chapter 9.--BANKS AND BANKING; TRUST COMPANIES
Article 20.--BANKING CODE; CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS

      9-2013.   Unlawful to offer or solicit anything of value; penalty.(a) It shall be unlawful for: (1) Any person or corporation to corruptlygive,offer or promise anything of valueto any person, with intent to influence or reward an officer, director,employee, agent or attorney of any state bank or trust company in connectionwith anybusiness or transaction of such bank or trust company; or

      (2)   any officer, director, employee, agent or attorney of any state bankor trust company to corruptly solicit or demand for the benefit of anyperson,or to corruptly accept or agree to accept anything of value from any personintending to influence or reward in connection with any business ortransaction of such bank or trust company.

      (b)   Any person or corporation violating the provisions of subsection (a),upon conviction, shall be guilty of a class A misdemeanor.

      (c)   This section shall not apply to bona fide salary, wages, fees or othercompensation paid, or expenses paid or reimbursed in the usual course ofbusiness.
