    Chapter 2.5. Eligibility of Refugees, Lawful Permanent Residents,and Illegal Aliens for Medicaid Assistance

Refugees
    
Sec. 1. A person who is classified as a refugee (as defined in 8U.S.C. 1101) is eligible for all services under this article as if theperson were classified as a citizen of the United States.

Lawful permanent residents
    
Sec. 2. A person who is a lawful permanent resident is eligible forMedicaid assistance under this article for a period of one (1) year.

Illegal aliens
    
Sec. 3. A person who is in the United States without permissionof the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services is notentitled to receive assistance under this article.

Child born in United States
    
Sec. 4. A child who:
        (1) is born in the United States to a person described in section2 or 3 of this chapter; and
        (2) otherwise meets the requirements for assistance under thisarticle;
is eligible to receive Medicaid under this article.

Violation of federal law
    
Sec. 5. Any provision of this chapter that violates a federal law orfederal regulation is void.
