Application of article
    Sec. 1. This article does not apply to the following:
        (1) A child care center or child care home licensed or operatedby any of the following:
            (A) Programs for children in grades kindergarten through 12that are operated under the authority of the department ofeducation or that are operated with the assistance of thedepartment of education.
            (B) The division of mental health and addiction.
            (C) The state department of health.
            (D) The department of correction.
        (2) A county jail or detention center.
