    Sec. 1. The division may, through agreement with the federalgovernment, operate a disability determination bureau thatadjudicates claims for Social Security Disability Insurance andSupplemental Security Income.

    Sec. 2. The division may, through agreement with the federalgovernment, operate a disability determination bureau that enters intoan interim assistance agreement with the Social SecurityAdministration under 42 U.S.C. 1302 and 42 U.S.C. 1383.

Long term disability benefit entitlement adjudication; disabilitydetermination bureau
    Sec. 3. The division shall operate a disability determinationbureau that adjudicates whether an employee is entitled to long termdisability benefits under either of the following:
        (1) IC 5-10-8-7(d).
        (2) The rules adopted by the state personnel department toimplement the long term disability program underIC 5-10-8-7(d).
