Chapter 12. Annual Evaluation of Permit Process

Annual reports
Sec. 1. Every twelve (12) months, the commissioner shall submitto the following a report that contains an evaluation of the actionstaken by the department to improve the department's process ofissuing permits:
(1) The governor.
(2) The general assembly. The report must be in an electronicformat under IC 5-14-6.
(3) The boards.

Contents of reports
Sec. 2. The report described under section 1 of this chapter mustcontain the following information concerning the department:
(1) A description of the reduction or increase in the backlog ofpermit applications in each department permit program duringthe preceding twelve (12) month period.
(2) The amount of:
(A) permit fees collected; and
(B) expenditures made from fee revenue;
during the preceding twelve (12) month period.
(3) A discussion of possible increases or decreases in theoperating costs of each department permit and inspectionprogram.
(4) A discussion of the measures that have been taken by thedepartment to improve the operating efficiency of the permitand inspection programs.
(5) The number of notices issued by the department underIC 13-15-4-10.
(6) A discussion of the department's operational goals for thenext twelve (12) months.
(7) A permit status report that includes the followinginformation:
(A) The facility name and type of each permit applicationpending on January 1 of the previous year and the date eachapplication was filed with the department.
(B) The action taken on each application by December 31 ofthe previous year.
(C) The facility name and type of each permit applicationpending on December 31 of the previous year and the dateeach was filed with the department.
