    Chapter 8. State Parks and Reservoirs Special Revenue Fund

"Fund"
    
Sec. 1. As used in this chapter, "fund" refers to the state parks andreservoirs special revenue fund established by section 2 of thischapter.

State parks and reservoirs special revenue fund
    
Sec. 2. (a) The state parks and reservoirs special revenue fund isestablished.
    (b) The fund shall be administered by the department.

Funding sources
    
Sec. 3. (a) The fund consists of the following:
        (1) All revenues accruing to the department from the operationof the state parks.
        (2) All revenues accruing to the department from the operationof reservoirs.
        (3) Other sources as specified by law.
    (b) The treasurer of state shall invest the money in the fund notcurrently needed to meet the obligations of the fund in the samemanner as other public money may be invested.

Use of fund
    
Sec. 4. The money in the fund may be expended by the directorexclusively for the operation of the state parks and reservoirs. Thedirector shall submit, in accordance with IC 4-12-1, a suggestedbudget for appropriations and expenditures from the fund. Thedirector shall use money appropriated by the general assembly fromthe fund to the department in accordance with this chapter and theterms of the appropriation.

Reversion of money to fund
    
Sec. 5. Unencumbered parts of appropriations made for a statefiscal year from the fund revert to the fund at the end of that statefiscal year unless otherwise specified by statute. Money in the funddoes not revert to the state general fund at the end of a state fiscalyear.
