    Chapter 8. William S. Culbertson Mansion

"Real property" defined
    
Sec. 1. As used in this chapter, "real property" means thefollowing:
    The north 284 feet of a 10 foot alley along the east side of PlatNo. 210 and a part of Lots No. 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 of Plat No. 210,which is a part of the west one-half of Block 10, of the WhitehillTract, Plat No. 173 and also the north 284 feet of the east one-half ofBlock No. 10 of the Whitehill Tract, Plat No. 173, situated in the cityof New Albany, Floyd County, and known as the William S.Culbertson Mansion.

State to maintain real property as memorial
    
Sec. 2. The state pledges to maintain in perpetuity the realproperty as:
        (1) a public memorial to the distinguished business career andpublic services of William S. Culbertson; and
        (2) a permanent example of a notable Indiana home of the endof the nineteenth century.

Department to administer real property
    
Sec. 3. The real property shall be administered by the departmentas a historic property and shall be known as the William S.Culbertson Mansion.

Donations
    
Sec. 4. The department may receive the following:
        (1) Donations for the maintenance of the mansion.
        (2) Other money that is necessary to carry out this chapter.
