Chapter 2. Status Report

Collection of information; recommendation of plans

    

Sec. 1. The department shall do the following:

        (1) Collect, digest, and classify information respecting forests,
timber land, forest preservation, and timber culture.

        (2) Recommend plans and methods for forest preservation and
timber culture and for the establishment of state forest reserves.

Annual reports

    

Sec. 2. The department shall annually, on or before December 1,
file with the governor a report of the information, plans, and methods
prepared under section 1 of this chapter.
