Chapter 12. Sand Nourishment Fund

"Fund" defined

    

Sec. 1. As used in this chapter, "fund" refers to the sand
nourishment fund established by this chapter.

Establishment of fund

    

Sec. 2. The sand nourishment fund is established.

Administration of fund

    

Sec. 3. The department shall administer the fund.

Purposes of fund

    

Sec. 4. The money in the fund shall be used for the following:

        (1) The deposit of sand along the coast of Lake Michigan in
Indiana.

        (2) The design and establishment of systems that cause sand to
be deposited along the coast of Lake Michigan in Indiana.

        (3) The prevention or reduction of the degradation of sand
along the coast of Lake Michigan in Indiana.

Reversion of money

    

Sec. 5. Money remaining in the fund at the end of a state fiscal
year does not revert to the state general fund. However, if the fund
is abolished, the money in the fund reverts to the state general fund.
