Chapter 5.5. Grading and Certification of Meat and Meat Products

Grading and certification services
Sec. 1. The board may provide voluntary grading and certificationservices relating to meat and meat products.

Fees
Sec. 2. The board shall charge a fee to cover the cost of gradingand certification under this chapter. The board shall adopt rulesunder IC 4-22-2 to set the fees under this section.

Liability
Sec. 3. Neither the board nor the state may incur any liability forlawful actions taken under this chapter.

Forgery; penalty
Sec. 4. A person who knowingly or intentionally forges a grade orcertification under this chapter commits a Class D felony.
