    Chapter 5. Livestock Certification

IC 15-19-5-1
"Administrator"
    Sec. 1. As used in this chapter, "administrator" means thegovernor or the governor's designee.

"Buyer"
    Sec. 2. As used in this chapter, "buyer" means a buyer of livestockbought for direct shipment to a person in a foreign country.

"Livestock"
    Sec. 3. As used in this chapter, "livestock" means any animal orfowl raised for commercial purposes.

Certification by administrator
    Sec. 4. The administrator may certify that certain livestock,bovine semen, or embryos meet the specifications of a buyer of thatlivestock, bovine semen, or embryos.

Fee
    Sec. 5. The administrator shall charge a fee to cover the costs ofcertification under this chapter.

Power of administrator
    Sec. 6. The administrator has the powers necessary to carry outthis chapter.

Liability
    Sec. 7. The administrator and the state are immune from liabilityfor lawful actions taken under this chapter.

Offense
    Sec. 8. A person who intentionally or knowingly forges acertification or the identification of livestock, bovine semen, or

embryos certified under this chapter commits a Class D felony.
