    Chapter 7. Emergency Medical Services Education Fund

Establishment of fund
    Sec. 1. The emergency medical services education fund isestablished.

Administration of fund; use of fund
    Sec. 2. The commission shall administer the fund. Money fromthe fund may be used to fund inservice training programs promotedby the commission.

Approval of expenditures
    Sec. 3. Expenditures from the fund must be approved by thebudget agency.

Sources of fund
    Sec. 4. The fund consists of income derived as follows:
        (1) Generated by the state emergency medical servicesconference authorized under IC 16-31-2-7(a)(1)(F).
        (2) Generated by education programs conducted by thecommission.
        (3) From civil penalties imposed by the commission.

Investment of unneeded money
    Sec. 6. The treasurer of state shall invest the money in the fundnot currently needed to meet the obligations of the fund in the samemanner as other public funds may be invested.

Reversion of unused money
    Sec. 7. Money in the fund at the end of a state fiscal year does notrevert to the state general fund.
