    Chapter 32. Technology Apprenticeship Grant Program

"Program"
    Sec. 1. As used in this chapter, "program" refers to the technologyapprenticeship grant program established by section 2 of this chapter.

Program established; administration of program
    Sec. 2. The technology apprenticeship grant program isestablished. The department, with the advice of the department oflabor established by IC 22-1-1-1, shall administer the program.

Development of grant program
    Sec. 3. The department, working with the department of labor,shall develop a grant program to provide grants from the statetechnology advancement and retention account established byIC 4-12-12-1 for apprenticeships that are designed to develop theskills of apprentices in the area of technology.

Standards for issuance of grants
    Sec. 4. The department, with the department of labor, shalldevelop standards for the issuance of grants to businesses and unionsthat are working to enhance the technology skills of apprentices.

Grant approval
    Sec. 5. Grants issued under this chapter are subject to approval bythe budget agency.
