    Chapter 7. Twenty-First Century Scholars Program Support Fund;Grants for Textbooks, Equipment, and Other Material

Twenty-first century scholars program support fund;administration
    
Sec. 1. (a) The twenty-first century scholars program support fundis established to provide reimbursements to scholarship recipients tooffset educational support costs incurred by scholarship recipients.
    (b) The commission shall administer the fund.
    (c) The treasurer of state shall invest the money in the fund notcurrently needed to meet the obligations of the fund in the samemanner as other public funds may be invested.
    (d) Money in the fund at the end of a state fiscal year does notrevert to the state general fund but remains available to be used forproviding money for twenty-first century scholarships under thischapter.

Sec. 2. The fund consists of money donated to the fund bycontributors. Financial assistance awarded under this chapter issubject to the availability of money in the fund.

Forms; certification; reimbursements
    
Sec. 3. (a) A scholarship recipient may apply to the commission,on forms provided by the commission, for financial assistance fromthe fund.
    (b) The scholarship recipient shall certify to the commission thatthe scholarship recipient has incurred educational support costs thatwere not included in the scholarship award received by thescholarship recipient under IC 21-12-6.
    (c) Upon verification by the commission of the informationprovided by the scholarship recipient and subject to the availabilityof money in the fund, the commission shall reimburse to thescholarship recipient the amount of money requested by thescholarship recipient.
    (d) The commission shall provide the reimbursements under thissection in the order in which the applications are received.

Contributor tax credit
    
Sec. 4. A contributor to the fund is entitled to an income tax creditunder IC 6-3-3-5.1.As added by P.L.2-2007, SEC.253.
