Board; election of officers
    Sec. 1. The members of the state board of trustees shall elect fromtheir own number a chairman and a vice chairman.

Board; selection of officers
    Sec. 2. The state board of trustees may select from their number:
        (1) a secretary; and
        (2) a treasurer;
of Ivy Tech Community College but are not prohibited fromappointing employees to serve as secretary and treasurer.

Board; appointment of officers
    Sec. 3. The state board of trustees may appoint employees asassistant secretary and assistant treasurer.

Treasurer of college; duties
    Sec. 4. The duties of the treasurer of Ivy Tech CommunityCollege include the following:
        (1) Keeping true accounts of all money received into thetreasury of Ivy Tech Community College and of the expenditureof that money.
        (2) Paying out the same on order of the state board of trustees.
        (3) Collecting the tuition and fees due to Ivy Tech CommunityCollege as well as gifts, grants, bequests, and devises.
        (4) Preparing an annual financial statement for Ivy TechCommunity College and at each regular meeting of the stateboard of trustees reporting on the financial condition of thecollege.
        (5) Investing and reinvesting such funds as shall come into thetreasurer's possession for the benefit of Ivy Tech CommunityCollege.

Treasurer; bond
    Sec. 5. The treasurer of Ivy Tech Community College shall givea bond in a penalty and with surety to be approved by the state boardof trustees, payable to the state, conditioned upon the faithfuldischarge of the treasurer's duties.As added by P.L.2-2007, SEC.263.

Secretary; record of proceedings
    Sec. 6. The secretary of Ivy Tech Community College shall keep,or cause to be kept, a true and complete record of the proceedings ofthe state board of trustees. The secretary shall keep the record in theheadquarters of Ivy Tech Community College. The secretary shallperform such other duties as the state board of trustees determines.
