Organization of university
Sec. 2. The board of trustees of Purdue University may organizePurdue University in conformity with the purposes set forth in Actof Congress, approved July 2, 1862, entitled "An act donating publiclands to the several states and territories which may provide collegesfor the benefit of agriculture and the mechanic arts".

Board; powers
Sec. 4. The board of trustees of Purdue University may do all actsnecessary and expedient to put and keep Purdue University inoperation.

Board; power to make bylaws, rules, and regulations
Sec. 5. The board of trustees of Purdue University may make allbylaws, rules, and regulations required or proper to conduct andmanage Purdue University.

Diversity committee
Sec. 6. (a) The board of trustees shall create a diversity committeeat the home campus and at each regional campus to do the following:
(1) Review and recommend faculty employment policiesconcerning diversity issues.
(2) Review faculty and administration personnel complaintsconcerning diversity issues.
(3) Make recommendations to promote and maintain culturaldiversity among faculty members.
(4) Make recommendations to promote recruitment andretention of minority students.
(b) The diversity committee shall issue an annual report stating
the findings, conclusions, and recommendations of the committee tothe board of trustees.
