    Chapter 8. Heat or Power Plant; Indiana State University; BallState University; Vincennes University

Application of section
    Sec. 1. (a) This section applies to the following state educationalinstitutions:
        (1) Ball State University.
        (2) Indiana State University.
    (b) If a heat or power plant belonging to a state educationalinstitution or operated by the board of trustees of a state educationalinstitution has sufficient capacity to furnish and generate heat orpower, or both, in excess of that needed by the state educationalinstitution, the board of trustees of the state educational institutionmay sell and dispose of, upon terms and conditions that the board oftrustees determines, any or all of the excess heat or power, or both,to a hospital, charitable or public institution, or developer that:
        (1) has entered into a financing agreement with the board oftrustees under IC 21-35-7; and
        (2) agrees to do all piping and make all connections necessaryto receive the heat or power, or both.

Authority to furnish heat, light, power, and other like facilities orservices
    Sec. 2. The board of trustees of Vincennes University may furnishheat, light, power, and other like facilities or service to any or allstructures to be constructed by Vincennes University from the plantor facilities of Vincennes University, with or without charge therefor.
