    Chapter 6. Health Plans; First Steps Program Coverage

Reimbursement of first steps program for early interventionservices payments
    Sec. 1. An employee health plan that provides coverage for earlyintervention services shall reimburse the first steps program forpayments made by the program for early intervention services thatare covered under the employee health plan.

Reimbursement not to be applied to lifetime coverage limit
    Sec. 2. The reimbursement required under section 1 of thischapter may not be applied to any annual or aggregate lifetime limiton the first steps child's coverage under the employee health plan.

IC 21-38-6-3
Payment of deductibles, copayments, or other expenses
    Sec. 3. The first steps program may pay required deductibles,copayments, or other out-of-pocket expenses for a first steps childdirectly to a provider. An employee health plan shall apply anypayments made by the first steps program to the employee healthplan's deductibles, copayments, or other out-of-pocket expensesaccording to the terms and conditions of the employee health plan.
