    Chapter 6. Request for Assistance From Law EnforcementOfficers

Request for additional police assistance
    Sec. 1. The board of trustees of a state educational institution mayempower one (1) or more officials of the state educational institutionto request the assistance of law enforcement officers of the:
        (1) state;
        (2) counties;
        (3) cities; and
        (4) towns;
when necessary.

Additional powers of police officers
    Sec. 2. When any law enforcement officer is on the property ofthe state educational institution by virtue of a request under thischapter, the law enforcement officer possesses all powers conferredby this article upon police officers appointed by the board of trusteesof the state educational institution, in addition to the powersotherwise conferred upon the law enforcement officers by law.
