    Chapter 6. Data Bank for DNA Population Statistics

Data bank for DNA statistics; establishment
    Sec. 1. The data bank for DNA population statistics is established.The department shall administer the data bank. The data bankconsists of information obtained under section 2 of this chapter.

Inclusion of nonidentifying data
    Sec. 2. All nonidentifying data concerning allele frequencies anddemographics that are generated by a laboratory conducting DNAanalysis for use in Indiana shall be submitted by the laboratory to thedepartment for inclusion in the data bank.

Request for statistics
    Sec. 3. The department shall provide DNA population statisticsderived from information in the data bank to a person who requeststhe statistics and has paid the fee required by the department undersection 4 of this chapter.

Fee allowed
    Sec. 4. The department may impose a reasonable fee fordistribution by the department of DNA population statistics undersection 3 of this chapter.
