Chapter 6. Fire Training Infrastructure Fund

"Fund"
Sec. 1. As used in this chapter, "fund" refers to the fire traininginfrastructure fund established by section 2 of this chapter.

Establishment
Sec. 2. The fire training infrastructure fund is established to do thefollowing:
(1) Provide grants to construct fire training facilities andpurchase fire training equipment.
(2) Pay the costs of administering this chapter.

Administration
Sec. 3. The division shall administer the fund.

Funding sources
Sec. 4. The fund consists of the following:
(1) Amounts appropriated by the general assembly.
(2) Donations, grants, and money received from any othersource.
(3) Amounts that the department transfers to the fund from thefire and building services fund.
(4) Amounts that the department transfers to the fund from theregional public safety training fund established byIC 10-15-3-12.

Investment
Sec. 5. The treasurer of state shall invest the money in the fundnot currently needed to meet the obligations of the fund in the samemanner as other public funds may be invested.

Reversion
Sec. 6. Money in the fund at the end of the fiscal year does notrevert to the state general fund.

IC 22-14-6-7 Audit
Sec. 7. The fund is subject to an annual audit by the state board ofaccounts. The fund shall pay all costs of the audit.
