    Chapter 15. Building and Trades Advisory Committee

Advisory committee established; purpose
    
Sec. 1. The building and trades advisory committee is establishedto provide information, advice, and recommendations to the Indianacommission for career and technical education of the departmentwith regard to technical education.

Membership
    
Sec. 2. The advisory committee consists of seven (7) members, allof whom are appointed by the governor, as follows:
        (1) Two (2) members who are coordinators of jointlyadministered building trades training committees.
        (2) Two (2) members who are instructors of jointlyadministered building trades training committees.
        (3) One (1) member who is an administrator of a jointlyadministered building trades training committee.
        (4) Two (2) members who are members of the public but whoare knowledgeable in building trades training programs.

Terms
    
Sec. 3. The members of the advisory committee serve terms offour (4) years.

Vacancies
    
Sec. 4. If a vacancy occurs before the expiration of a term, thegovernor shall appoint an interim member consistent with thevacating member's qualifications under section 2 of this chapter toserve for the balance of the unexpired term.

Reimbursement of member expenses
    
Sec. 5. (a) Members of the advisory committee are not entitled tothe minimum salary per diem provided by IC 4-10-11-2.1(b).
    (b) A member is entitled to reimbursement for traveling expensesand other expenses actually incurred in connection with the member'sduties, as provided in the state policies and procedures established bythe Indiana department of administration and approved by the budgetagency.
