Chapter 28. Lost or Illegally Expended Federal Grants

Appropriations
Sec. 1. If any money received after June 30, 1941, from the SocialSecurity Administration under 42 U.S.C. 501 through 504, or anyunencumbered balances in the employment and training servicesadministration fund as of June 30, 1941, or any money granted afterJune 30, 1941 to this state under 29 U.S.C. 49 et seq. or any moneymade available by this state or its political subdivisions and matchedby such money granted to this state under 29 U.S.C. 49 et seq. isfound by the Secretary of Labor because of any action orcontingency to have been lost or been expended for purposes otherthan or in amounts in excess of those found necessary by theSecretary of Labor for the proper administration of this article, it isthe policy of this state that upon receipt of notice of such a findingby the Secretary of Labor the board shall promptly report the amountrequired for such replacement to the governor, and the governor shallat the earliest opportunity submit to the general assembly a requestfor the appropriation of such amount. This section shall not beconstrued to relieve this state of its obligation with respect to fundsreceived prior to July 1, 1941, under 49 U.S.C. 501 through 504.
