Chapter 2. Resident Agents

Corporate resident agent
Sec. 1. Any corporation, for profit or not for profit, now orhereafter organized under the laws of the state of Indiana and anyforeign corporation, for profit or not for profit, now or hereafteradmitted to do business in the state of Indiana, which is required orpermitted to designate and have a resident agent, may designate andhave as such resident agent a corporation authorized to transactbusiness in the state of Indiana and authorized by its articles orcertificate of incorporation to act as such agent. Such corporateresident agent shall possess all of the powers and have all of theduties conferred or imposed upon the resident agent of any suchcorporation, and whenever or wherever in any statute of this state theterm "person" is used or appears in relation to such resident agent,said term shall be deemed to include a corporate resident agent.Service of any legal process upon a corporate resident agent, asresident agent, may be made by serving a copy thereof on thepresident, a vice-president, the secretary, or an assistant secretary ofsaid corporate resident agent.
