Application of chapter
    Sec. 1. This chapter applies to all cities, all towns, and allcorporations formed under IC 23-7-1.1 (before its repeal on August1, 1991) or IC 23-17.

Authorization to acquire sites; eminent domain
    Sec. 2. Each corporation to which this chapter applies mayacquire and hold battlegrounds or other historic sites for the purposeof maintaining or improving them for historical purposes. Theacquisition of property under this section is for a public use, and titlemay be taken under the power of eminent domain.

Exemption from taxation
    Sec. 3. Property acquired under this chapter is exempt fromtaxation.
