    Chapter 10. Entry Into Force, Withdrawal, and Amendment

Effectiveness of compact; ability to withdraw
    Sec. 1. This compact becomes effective as to any state when it hasbeen enacted into the laws of that state. Any party state maywithdraw from this compact.

Withdrawal not affecting other compact party states of actionsoccurring before withdrawal
    Sec. 2. No withdrawal affects the validity or applicability by thelicensing boards of states remaining party to the compact of anyreport of adverse action occurring before the withdrawal.

Compact does not affect other agreements entered into betweenparty states and nonparty states
    Sec. 3. This compact shall not be construed to invalidate orprevent any nurse licensure agreement or other cooperativearrangement between a party state and a nonparty state that is madein accordance with this compact.

Amendment of compact; effectiveness
    Sec. 4. This compact may be amended by the party states. Noamendment to this compact becomes effective and binding upon theparty states unless and until it is enacted into the laws of all partystates.
