    Chapter 1. Penalty for Activity by Noncertified Individuals

Certified surgical technologist
    Sec. 1. An individual may not:
        (1) profess to be a certified surgical technologist; or
        (2) use the initials "CST" or any other words, letters,abbreviations, or insignia indicating or implying that theindividual is a certified surgical technologist;
unless the individual holds and maintains the Certified SurgicalTechnologist Credential administered by the National Board ofSurgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).

Violations
    Sec. 2. An individual who knowingly, recklessly, or intentionallyviolates this chapter commits a Class B misdemeanor.
